You have almost completed your web quest activities. After studying your artist and watching your fellow classmates present theirs, I hope you feel like you have a better understand of how some of these people changed the world. Discuss with your group the following questions...
1. Which artist did you find the most interesting?
2. Whose artwork did you enjoy the most?
3. If you could switch places with one of them, who would it be and why?
4. How do you think your presentation compared to your classmates?
5. Do you feel the work was evenly shared in your group?
6. What could you have done better?

now it is time to create your own masterpiece!
Now that we have spent a good amount of time learning about our artists we are going to create a piece of our own artwork. For this task you will be working as individuals and creating one piece of art. This work is going to be based on one of the artists we talked about. You can use your artist or swap with another student. There should be no more than two people per artist.
This is your time to take what you have learned about a certain artist, technique or art period and show off. For example, if your painting was based on Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night you would try to recreate his technique of showing movement or applying the paint. You want your viewer to be able to name the artist that inspired it but it should NOT look just like the original artwork.
**Your artwork does not have to be a painting. It should be whatever medium your artist worked in. Keep that in mind when picking from the artists we studied.
Once you have decided who you are going to use click on the link below to sign up for that artist (again do not forget to hit the share button and then the done button). Next, complete a rough draft of your artwork and get it signed by Mrs. Powers.
